GenoMed4All and sister project SYNTHEMA joined forces last week to showcase how we are harnessing the power of AI to advance Precision Medicine in Hematology.
As part of this year’s European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress hosted in Milan, partners of GenoMed4All and SYNTHEMA presented the work carried by both EU-funded initiatives during a session organised by ERN-EuroBloodNet focused on ‘Clinical and Data driven research‘. Some of the topics covered included the following:
- An overview of ERN-EuroBloodNet sponsored clinical trials, by Eduard J. van Beers (UMC Utrecht).
- The role played by ERN Registries in advancing research in hematology, by Sara Reidel (Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research).
- A presentation of GenoMed4All & SYNTHEMA AI Federated Platforms in hematology, by our project coordinator, Federico Álvarez (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid).
- Our vision for an AI Federated platform in oncology, by Matteo G Della Porta (Humanitas Research Hospital).
- The work around our AI Federated platform in anemia, by Mar Mañú (Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research)
- An overview of radiomics in Sicke Cell Disease, by Raffaella Colombatti (Azienda Ospedale Università Padova).
A big thank you to our ERN-EuroBloodNet colleagues for organising such an inspiring session, and for helping both projects in their efforts to disseminate the work behind their mission to advance precision medicine in hematology.
